Over the years, I visited Thailand many times but always Pattaya. In 1988 aboard the Dubuque LPD-8, we stopped at Phuket while returning from a Persian Gulf Deployment. It was my first and only liberty there. We all had an awesome time. To this day, I retain priceless memories of that great experience.
